25 YEARS EXPERIENCE PRODUCING EFFECTIVE DAY-IN-THE-LIFE DOCUMENTARIES

DAY-IN-THE-LIFE DOCUMENTARIES

A "Day-in-the-Life" Documentary is the best way for the viewer, whether in a settlement documentary, a mediation presentation or at trial, to appreciate the devastating impact the causative event has had on your client's life. A skillfully produced presentation by Legal Video Services permits the viewer to experience through the camera’s eye the day’s events as they unfold. It shows how simple everyday tasks, such as putting tooth paste on a toothbrush, can be an arduous task for your client.

In catastrophic cases, as seen here with a quadriplegic, the viewer is able to appreciate the amount and nature of attendant care required just to maintain life. How an annoying itch on the nose or the forehead requires someone to scratch it because the injured can’t even do that for himself.

Physical, occupational and cognitive therapy sessions captured on a "Day in the Life" buttress the testimony of medical professionals and assist the viewer in linking that testimony to your client. A tried and proven trial technique is to use excerpts from the day in the life while the medical experts are on the stand.

Legal Video Services has over 25 years experience producing "Day in the Life" documentaries, and we have produced hundreds of them. Give us a call and let us discuss your seriously-injured client and how we may be of assistance to you and your firm.

VIDEO SETTLEMENT DOCUMENTARIES

Similar to the style of a broadcast news documentary, the Video Settlement Documentary in 15-30 minutes summarizes the issues of liability and damages, and the effect of the causal event on your client and his or her family.

Comprised of animations, computer graphics, interviews of the client and family members, doctors and care givers, the before and after life style of the injured, are presented in striking contrast.

The documentary is usually presented to opposing counsel and the mediator in advance of mediation. Those at risk are given an opportunity to evaluate the case from a different perspective than what the documents alone present. They have an opportunity so see what will be presented at trial and have an opportunity to re-evaluate the case prior to the mediation.

Legal Video Services has produced over a hundred Video Settlement Documentaries. Six alone were produced in the crash of American Airlines Flight 587 from JFK airport en route to the Dominican Republic on Dec. 12, 2001, and four in the crash of US Airways commuter Flight 5481 which took off and crashed at the Charlotte, NC airport on March 1, 2004.
